Sysmex Malaysia collaborate with PERTIWI Soup Kitchen to feed the Homeless to start off the New Year
Thirty SMA employee and family members sacrificed a Friday night to participate in a Greener Sysmex project in collaboration with PERTIWI Soup Kitchen to feed the homeless in Kuala Lumpur. This was our second participation and the Greener Sysmex Committee managed to get more participation compared to last year. PERTIWI Soup Kitchen is a non-profit organization that provides humanitarian food-aid service to the homeless and hard-core poor irrespective of race or religion.
SMA donated total of 600 treat bags which contains of biscuits, swiss roll, soya drink, pop-corn and tissue and 600 waffles from Gardenia Malaysia. Our employees were divided into few teams taking charge of 6 stations with some of us giving out pack of rice and vegetables, bananas, drinks, snacks and recycle clothes. A number of us became ‘runners’ helping the children and elderly people to carry their foods and drinks. The distribution were done at Lorong Medan Tuanku 2 and Kota Raya, Kuala Lumpur.
