Dr Nur Azura Binti Suliman graduated from University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2005, and furthered her qualification with a Master of Pathology (Haematology) in 2014.
Her pathology career began in March 2008 as a Medical Officer at Hospital Selayang. In 2014, she worked as a Clinical Specialist at Hospital Umum Sarawak becoming a Pathologist the following year. Since November 2015, she has worked as a Haematopathologist at Hospital Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
Dr Azura plays an active role as a healthcare practitioner. She is a life member of the College of Pathologists, the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia, and the Malaysia Blood Transfusion Society. She is also a member of the International Society of Laboratory Haematology and Hospital Kuala Lumpur Point of Care Testing (POCT) Committee. Currently, she is the co-ordinator for the department’s Quality Assurance and Quality Initiative (QAQI) Program, as well as an assessor for quality assessment of pathology laboratories at Health clinics in Kuala Lumpur.
In addition, she provides training to new medical officers and medical lab technologists in Haematology, such as Full Blood Picture reporting and FBC Morphology Review. Dr Azura has been a speaker on countless occasions since 2017, focusing on Haematology and Haemostasis topics.
