Sysmex Malaysia donates to East Coast flood victims
In end December 2014, the East Coast states of Malaysia were inundated with the worst flooding in 30 years, from the South East monsoon. Alot of roads and buildings were flooded to the roof tops in the states of Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Perak, Johor and Sabah. More than 200,000 victims were evacuated to evacuation centers and alot of them lost their belongings and homes to the flood waters.
Together with our key customer from Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II, Kota Baru (HRPZII). Sysmex Malaysia Greener Sysmex Committee took the initiative to donate essential supplies to 100 flood victim families. The supplies included rice, biscuit, drinking water, sardine, detergent, sanitary pad and gas stoves.
The essential supplies were delivered to HRPZII, Kota Bahru on Jan 03, 2015 through the collaboration with IMAM Response & Relief Team (IMARET). Staff from Pathology Dept, HRPZII allocated the supplies which was then distributed to 100 families in 3 affected villages in Kuala Krai, Kelantan.
Thanks to Sysmex Malaysia’s staff (Mohd Fazli, Ong Hui Ping, Anderik, Amran and Albert Tan) who helped to make this arrangement within a short period. HRPZII also informed us that they really appreciated our effort and contribution toward the flood victims.
