On 4th May 2016, SMA Greener Sysmex organized a blood donation campaign at the National Blood Transfusion Centre, Malaysia. The event was held in conjunction with a Coagulation scientific seminar which was a collaboration between Sysmex Malaysia and the National Blood Transfusion Centre.

The objective of this blood donation campaign was to promote the importance of blood donation to save lives and a culture of volunteerism among employees at Sysmex Malaysia.

As soon as the campaign started in the morning, Sysmex staffs arrived at the centre in succession. There were a total of 20 staffs signed up as blood donors on that day. 13 of them were eligible to donate blood. All donors were briefed about the terms and conditions of donating blood, as well as some health advice regarding blood donation.

The campaign ended at 12 noon, marked by a group photo taken together with Dato Dr Faraizah who is the Deputy Director of the National Blood Transfusion Centre. She thanked all donors for their donation and commended about Sysmex Malaysia effort to encourage our staff to donate blood annually. Everyone was proud to be part of the contribution to society and thankful to the Greener Sysmex committee for their organizing efforts.
